Mission
Connecticut Artists At Work or CAAW is a group of artists organizing a union with the goal of improving our material conditions as artists in Connecticut.
Vision
Our objective is to create a sense of community, safety, and bargaining power for all active members. We create and utilize our power as working artists to enact change in our communities and within the jobs we take as freelancers or otherwise. We also provide guidance to new or more vulnerable artists who need our support.

Guidelines
a). We will not be used to highlight any commercial, political, or organizational entity.
b). “Artificial intelligence”/ “AI”/ Chat GPT or any similar technology will not be permitted in any use case in this union. Nor will “AI artists” be permitted to be members.
c). Racism and Anti-Blackness must be dismantled at the door.
d). Any in-person meetings are mask mandatory and located where our disabled membership can attend safely and accessibly.
e). You must live in Connecticut to join the union
